Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing (EMC)
Do you need testing for C-Tick ?
TCA’s EMC Laboratory operates as part of our Product Compliance Laboratory, saving you time by being able to organise one order to cover both safety and EMC. With the delivery of an extra sample for EMC testing with the samples for safety testing, you gain the benefit of parallel testing and reducing waiting and approval times as well as receiving one invoice to cover all tests and approvals.
TCA’s Product Compliance Laboratory is also an appointed Competent Body under the EMC framework. If you have product variations or would like to follow the Technical Construction File route to compliance this service is also included. Our Consulting Group is independent of the testing Laboratory and can offer professional advice to resolve problems with safety approval and EMC Compliance.
Our EMC Laboratory is NATA accredited to the following emission standards:
- AS/NZS CISPR 14.1, CISPR 14-1, EN 55014-1
- AS/NZS CISPR 11, CISPR 11, EN 55011
- AS/NZS CISPR 22, CISPR 22, EN 55022
- AS/NZS 3200.1.2
We are also able to test to the following emissions standards:
- AS/NZS CISPR 13, CISPR 13, EN 55013
- AS/NZS CISPR 15, CISPR 15, EN 55015
If you are exporting to Europe or just want to have proven immunity performance we are also NATA accredited to the following immunity standards:
- IEC 61000-4-2: Electrostatic discharge
- IEC 61000-4-4: Fast transient burst
- IEC 61000-4-5: Surge
- IEC 61000-4-6: Conducted RF
- IEC 61000-4-11: Voltage dips and interruptions
- BS EN 61000-6-1: Generic immunity for residential, commercial and light industrial environments
- IEC 61326-1: Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use, EMC requirements (excluding 61000-4-3, 61000-4-8)
- AS 62040-2: EMC for Uninterruptable Power Supplies (excluding 61000-4-3, 61000-4-8)
- AS/NZS 4780, CISPR 14-2, EN 55014-2: EMC requirements for household and similar appliances, Immunity (excluding 61000-4-3, 61000-4-8)
- AS/NZS 3200.1.2 : Medical electrical equipment : Part 1.2: General requirements for safety - Collateral standard: Electromagnetic Compatibility - Requirements and tests
We can arrange to sub-contract additional immunity tests for you if required.
Many clients bring in their product for development test while still in the prototype stage. This process gives added assurance that EMC is designed into the product rather than added to it at the end of the process.
If you require more information on EMC testing please contact Gunther Theisz or Robert Woo.
